We are already five days into November! I love when the calendar turns to November. To me, it seems like the beginning of the Christmas season. I know, I know. Thanksgiving comes first, but I really feel like it is part of the Christmas season. I feel like it is just one big celebration that lasts for two months. This is my most favorite time of the year!

This is also our home school home stretch. We school for most of the summer and take off Thanksgiving through Christmas. I always love having the break from school to focus on holiday traditions. I feel like we have had a very productive fall and we’re ahead of where we need to be school-wise. It kind of makes me not want to stop, but I always regret that decision. I feel like I need to create space in my life to enjoy the season, so we will take a break.

Aside from looking forward to fast approaching holidays, here are a few blog goals I have for November.

Favorite Things Posts

I am really excited about this one. I am planning to bring you a weekly favorite things post leading up to Christmas. There will be things like my favorite Thanksgiving and Christmas books, my favorite advent activities, favorite traditions, and more. This will be so fun! Now I just need to go on a scavenger hunt around the house to find all of our favorite books to show you.

Upcoming Reviews

I just reviewed Drive Thru History® Adventures, and I have two more reviews coming up to close out November. The next two reviews are for Homeschool Code Academy and CrossTimber. I also want to talk more about Beautiful Feet Books as I am finding people really want Beautiful Feet reviews and I have several Beautiful Feet Books packages. In the meantime, if you want an idea of how to use Beautiful Feet Books, you can read my review of History of Classical Music.

Curriculum Shopping

Yes, I am already curriculum shopping for next year! November is one of the best months to find homeschool deals and I’m looking forward to it. I plan to create a post with some of the best Black Friday/Cyber Monday homeschool sales; I’m just waiting on information from the vendors. Keep an eye out for that announcement.

More Upcoming Posts

I have a new Start the Adventure post coming up. This one is about why it can be so hard to transition our kids out of public school and reclaiming our role as their main (and best) educator.

We also made some recent changes to Peyton’s curriculum and I will be sharing my experience with Sonlight’s “Love to Learn, Love to Teach” guarantee.

I am also planning on adding another Colorado specific resource which is a Review of My Tech High. They are opening up enrollment for the next semester soon, so I figured now would be a good time to talk about how we like it so far.

That is what you can expect for November. I also have a few other posts I am writing, but I’m not sure if they will make it on the blog in November. I would love to read what some of you have planned for November. Are any of you planning to curriculum shop for next year? Tell me in the comments what you are planning on buying, or what deals you are hoping for.
